Andreas Voccia lebt und arbeitet als Musiker in Berlin. Ursprünglich als Jazzgitarrist ausgebildet, widmet er sich heute vor allem dem modularen Synthesizer, um Kompositionsprinzipien der zeitgenössischen klassischen Musik in einer improvisatorischen und interaktiven Umgebung umzusetzen. Neben seiner Arbeit als Solokünstler ist er in mehrere Projekte der Berliner Experimental- und Free-Jazz-Szene eingebunden.

In seiner Musik erforscht er abstrakte Konzepte wie Bewegung, Muster, Raum und Zeit, sowie die Art und Weise, wie all diese Elemente durch Resonanzprozesse miteinander verwoben sind. Diese Untersuchungen dienen ihm als Annäherung an grundlegende Fragen über das Wesen der Realität. Beeinflusst von Komponisten wie Iannis Xenakis, Gérard Grisey, Francisco Guerrero und Alberto Posadas, arbeitet Andreas kontinuierlich an einer musikalischen Ästhetik, die die komplexen Phänomene der Naturwissenschaften darstellt und hörbar macht. Dabei ist ihm besonders wichtig, in diesen Prozessen eine Poesie zu finden, die das Spannungsverhältnis zwischen Innenwelt und Außenwelt thematisiert.

Neben seiner künstlerischen Tätigkeit ist Andreas auch als Pädagoge und Organisator aktiv. Gemeinsam mit Céline Voccia betreibt er die Musikschule Klangzeit, wo er Gitarre und elektronische Musik unterrichtet. Zudem ist er Mitorganisator der Konzertreihe Untergrün und kuratiert zusammen mit Chris Heenan die TOPO-Reihe in der Berliner Zwitschermaschine.

Andreas Voccia lives and works as a musician in Berlin. Originally trained as a jazz guitarist, he now devotes himself primarily to the modular synthesizer in order to implement the compositional principles of contemporary classical music in an improvisational and interactive environment. In addition to his work as a solo artist, he is involved in several projects in the Berlin experimental and free jazz scene.

In his music he explores abstract concepts such as movement, pattern, space and time, as well as the way in which all these elements are interwoven through resonance processes. These explorations serve as his approach to fundamental questions about the nature of reality. Influenced by composers such as Iannis Xenakis, Gérard Grisey, Francisco Guerrero and Alberto Posadas, Andreas is constantly working on a musical aesthetic that depicts the complex phenomena of the natural sciences and makes them audible. It is particularly important to him to find a poetry in these processes that addresses the tension between the inner world and the outer world.

In addition to his artistic work, Andreas is also active as an educator and organizer. Together with Céline Voccia, he runs the Klangzeit music school, where he teaches guitar and electronic music. He is also co-organizer of the concert series Untergrün and curates the TOPO series at Berlin's Zwitschermaschine together with Chris Heenan.
